The Servo 550 excels in live performance use, recording studios and permanent installations. Easy to install, this 3-space rack-mount stereo power amplifier (which can also be used in bridged mono mode) delivers 275 watts per channel into a 4 ohm load (in bridged mono mode, 550 watts into 8 ohms), over a bandwidth of 20 Hz to 50 kHz. It utilizes high-current output power transistors and a unique bipolar circuit design that continuously keeps DC output during idling at or near 0 volts. The Servo 550 also features balanced 1/4" Tip-Ring-Sleeve inputs and both 1/4″ and binding post terminal outputs, front-panel clip, idle and protection lights plus thermal and overcurrent protection circuitry. The Servo 550 is convection cooled for silent operation, eliminating fan noise and the need for filter maintenance. Built rugged with a solid steel chassis, the Servo 550 is designed for reliable performance over the long haul.
