In the calculator display, Ø represents Sunday.

Press the desired city key twice to turn on the daylight saving time. IKCC;H appears. Press that key again to turn off the daylight saving time.

To switch between the 12or 24hour formats, press the desired city key in your

time zone, then press 12/24/%. In the 12hour time format, FC appears for a PM hour. You cannot shift the 12or 24-hour formats in other time zones.

199-Year Calendar lets you view one month at a time from January 1901 to 2099.

Key Tone lets you set the calculator to sound a tone each time you press a key.

16-City World Time shows you the current time in 16 time zones around the world.

Clock Alarm sounds at a time you set.

Snooze temporarily silences the alarm for about 5 minutes so you can sleep a little longer.

8-Digit Calculator — performs standard arithmetic calculations.

To prevent battery drain during shipping, your calculator is shipped with an insulation strip that you must remove before use. To remove the strip, firmly grasp its end and

gently pull it out. The calculator sounds a long beep and '(#&&ý&& appears.

Open the cover. To set the calculator to sound a tone each time you press a key, press Ó so the calculator beeps once. To turn off the key tone, press Ó again.

Once you set the date and time for your home time zone, all other world times are set automatically, based on your home time zone.±

1.Press Ð to display the clock mode.

2.Press the key for the city which corresponds with your time zone.

5.Press SET. The hour digits flash.

6.Repeatedly press (or hold down) C1/ or C2/ to set the hour.

8.When you finish, press SET once to complete the setting.

You can set the calculator to sound an alarm at a designated time.

1.Press Ì. If the alarm is turned off, #ý#ý#ý #ý7B appears. If the alarm is turned on, the last set alarm time appears.

2.Press SET to set the alarm. '(#&&ý7B (or the last set alarm time) and Ì appears. The hour digits flash.

3.Repeatedly press (or hold down) C1/ or C2/ to set the alarm hour.

4.Press SET. The minute digits flash.

5.Repeatedly press (or hold down) C1/ or C2/ to set the minute digits.

6.Press SET to store the alarm time, then press Ð to return to the current clock/ calendar display.

At the set time, the clock sounds an alarm for about one minute. Press any button to silence the alarm before it automatically

turns off. The alarm sounds again the next day at the same time.

To turn the alarm on or off at any time, repeatedly press Ì. Ì and the preset alarm time appear when the alarm is on. #ý#ýý#ý#ý7B appears when the alarm is off. Then press Ð to return to the current time.

Press SNOOZE/Ó to temporarily silence the alarm for about 5 minutes. Î appears. After about 5 minutes, the alarm sounds for about 1 minute, then automatically turns off. Or, you can press any key (except SNOOZE/Ó) to turn off the snooze function.

Î disappears. To cancel the snooze function before it begins, repeatedly press Ì until Î and Ì disappear. Press Ð to return to the current clock/calendar display.

You can view the calendar from the years 1901 to 2099. To flip through the calendar one month at a time, repeatedly press (or hold down) C1/ or C2/ . To return to the current clock/calendar display, press Ð.

Press CAL/AC to enter the calculator mode. To clear a calculation, press CAL/AC once. The calculator automatically returns to the clock/calendar display if you do not press a button for about 8 minutes. To return to the current time display sooner, press Ð.

If you enter an incorrect function key (+, , ×, ÷), simply press the correct function key and continue.

The calculation result exceeds eight digits to the left of the decimal point. This is an overflow error (see “Estimating Calculation Results”).

You attempt to divide a number by 0.

Press CAL/AC to clear an error, then begin your calculation again.

If you perform a calculation that results in an overflow error, you can estimate the correct result (to eight significant digits) by following these steps.

1.Count the number digits displayed to the left of the decimal point.

2.Remove the decimal point.

3.Add as many zeros to the right of the number as there were digits to the left of the decimal point.

For example, if the display shows ; '$&'*(&,*, the approximate answer is
