INTRODUCTION
Your Radio Shack Smoke Alarm Siren Detector gives you extra protection if a smoke alarm is out of normal hearing range. The detector listens for the siren from the smoke alarm. When the detector hears the siren, it sends a signal to the base, which sounds the system’s alarm.

Notes:
•The siren detector does not detect smoke. It only detects the sound from a smoke alarm.
•We suggest you use a Radio Shack Cat. No. 49-466 Smoke Alarm with the siren detector. Other smoke alarms might not work properly.
•Be sure you test the siren detector as described under “Testing” on Page 12.
