USING AN EARPHONE

EAR Jack

For private listening, you can connect an optional earphone with a 1/8-inchplug to theEAR jack.

This automatically mutes the built-inspeaker.

Cautions:

Set VOLUME to the lowest setting before you begin listening. Then adjust the volume to a comfortable level.

Do not use an earphone when operating a vehicle or riding a bicycle. This can cause a traffic hazard and can be illegal in some areas.

USING THE TV AS A MONITOR

You can play back the signal from an audio/video component connected to your TV’s AUDIO/VIDEO jack. You will need aY-adaptercable (not supplied), available at your local RadioShack store. Connect the cable’s red plug to the component’s video output jack, and its white plug to the component’s audio output jack. Then, plug the cable’s mini plug into the TV’sAUDIO/VIDEO jack.

Note: Connecting an audio/video component disables the TV’s antenna.

External Antenna

If you are in an area with weak TV signals, or inside a metal or concrete building, you might need an external antenna to improve reception.

Connect the antenna to the EXT. ANT. jack. If your antenna wire is 75-ohmcoaxial cable, use anF-to-mini plug adapter to complete the connection. If you have300-ohmwire, use a300-to-75ohm mini plug adapter. Both are available at your local RadioShack store.

These suggestions will help you care for your LCD TV so you can enjoy it for years.

Keep the TV dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately.

(such as coins or keys).

Use and store the TV only in normal temperature environments.

Keep the TV away from dust and dirt.

Wipe the TV with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean the TV.

Modifying or tampering with the TV’s internal components can cause a malfunction and might invalidate the TV’s warranty and void your FCC authorization to operate it.

Caution: This product contains mercury and must be recycled or disposed of properly.

Power Cautions

Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type. Batteries can leak chemicals that damage your TV’s electronic parts.

Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or bury them. Batteries can leak chemicals that may destroy electronic parts.

Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.

You must use a regulated Class 2 power source that supplies 6V DC and delivers at least 550 mA. Its center tip must be set to positive and its plug must fit the TV's DC IN 6V jack. Using an adapter that does not meet these specifications could damage the TV or the adapter.

Always connect the AC adapter to the TV before you connect it to AC power. When you finish, disconnect the adapter from AC power before you disconnect it from the TV.

Do not leave the adapter plugged into the AC outlet, plugged into the cigarette-lightersocket or connected to the TV when you are not using the TV.
