LCD Jumbo Display Dual Timer/Clock

OWNER’S MANUAL — Please read before using this equipment.

Your RadioShack LCD Jumbo Display Dual Timer/Clock is a precise, dual-purposetimepiece. Both timers can count hours, minutes and seconds, up or down, from a specified time. The metal stand lets you set the timer/ clock on a desk or table, and the clip and magnet let you attach it almost anywhere.

Countup Timer — counts up to 29 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds.

Countdown Timer — counts down from 29 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds.

Minute and Second Increments — let you count even small amounts of time.

Alarm — alerts you when the countdown time elapses.

Cautions:

Keep button-cellbatteries away from children. Swallowing abutton-cellbattery can be fatal.

Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or bury them.

Notes:

If the timer/clock does not work when you install the battery, remove and reinstall it.

When the display dims or the alarm weakens, replace the battery. For the best performance and longest life, we recommend using a RadioShack alkaline battery.

INSTALLING THE BATTERY

Your must install the supplied LR44 buttoncell battery before using your timer/clock.

SETTING THE CLOCK

1.Repeatedly press MODE untilCLOCK appears in the upper left corner.

1.Insert a coin into the groove on the battery

compartment cover, turn the coin counterclockwise, and remove the cover.

2.Insert the battery with the positive (+) side facing up. The timer/clock beeps.

3.Replace the cover.

2.Hold down CLEAR for about 2 seconds until the display flashes.

mat. PM appears for PM hours when the12-hourformat is selected.

3.Repeatedly press (or hold down) HOUR until the correct hour appears.

4.Repeatedly press (or hold down) MINUTE until the correct minute appears.

5.Repeatedly press (or hold down) SECOND until the correct second appears.

Note: When you hold downMINUTE orSECOND, the setting advances in increments of 10.

6.Press MODE or wait until the display stops flashing. The clock is now set.

COUNTING UP

Each timer can count up to 29 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds. Then they reset and begin counting from 0:00 00 again. You can use the timers separately or together.

1.While CLOCK appears, pressMODE.

COUNT UP1,COUNT UP2, and their timers appear.

Note: If either timer does not show0:00 00, pressCLEAR to reset both timers.

2. Press TIMER 1 (forCOUNT

UP1) or

TIMER 2 (for COUNT UP

2) to start

counting up.

 

Note: You can startCOUNT UP1 andCOUNT UP2 at the same time by pressingTIMER 1 andTIMER 2 together.

3.Press TIMER 1 orTIMER 2 to stop counting up. Press again to continue counting up.

4.When both timers have stopped, press CLEAR to reset them to0:00 00.

COUNTING DOWN

You can use the two countdown timers for activities that require a predetermined amount of time, such as baking a cake or playing a game. The timers count down in 1-secondincrements.

Note: The maximum countdown time is 29 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds.

1.While CLOCK appears, pressMODE twice.TIMER 1 and0:00 00 appear.

• To use TIMER 2, press MODE three times.TIMER 2 appears.

To use both timers, press MODE four times.TIMER 1 andTIMER 2 appear. Then pressTIMER 1 orTIMER 2 to set each timer.

2.Repeatedly press (or hold down) HOUR until the desired hour appears.

3.Repeatedly press (or hold down) MINUTE until the desired minute appears.

4.Repeatedly press (or hold down) SECOND until the desired second appears.

Note: When you hold downHOUR,MINUTE, orSECOND, the setting advances in increments of 10.

5.Press TIMER 1 orTIMER 2 to start counting down.

Notes:

Both timers can be run at the same time.

To pause the countdown before the timer reaches 0:00 00, pressTIMER 1 orTIMER 2. To resume the countdown, press the same button again.

To stop the countdown before the timer reaches 0:00 00, pressTIMER 1 orTIMER 2, then pressCLEAR. The timer resets to0:00 00.

When the timer reaches 0:00 00, the alarm sounds for 1 minute andTIMES UP flashes above the active timer. Then, the timer counts up in1-secondincrements. Press any button to silence the alarm.

When the alarm stops, TIMES UP continues to flash and the timer continues to count up. To stop the count, press the active timer’s button. The timer resets to0:00 00.

USING THE CLOCK AND TIMERS

You can view the clock and use the timers at the same time.

1.After you set the count up or countdown timers, press MODE untilCLOCK appears in the upper left corner. The active timer(s) flash.

2.Repeatedly press MODE to switch between viewing the clock and the timers.

Using the Stand

CARE

Keep the timer/clock dry; if it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately. Use and store the timer/clock only in normal temperature environments. Handle the timer/clock carefully; do not drop it. Keep the timer/clock away from dust and dirt, and wipe it with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new.

Modifying or tampering with the timer/clock’s internal components can cause a malfunction and might invalidate its warranty. If your timer/ clock is not performing as it should, take it to your local RadioShack store for assistance.

MOUNTING THE TIMER/ CLOCK

The magnet on the back of the timer/clock attaches to any metal surface, such as a refrigerator, oven or file cabinet.

You can also clip the timer/clock to a clipboard or your clothing. Press down the upper end of the clip, attach it to your clipboard or clothing, and release the clip.

In the event of a product defect during the warranty period, take the product and the RadioShack sales receipt as proof of purchase date to any RadioShack store. RadioShack will, at its option, unless otherwise provided by law: (a) correct the defect by product repair without charge for parts and labor; (b) replace the product with one of the same or similar design; or (c) refund the purchase price. All replaced parts and products, and products on which a refund is made, become the property of RadioShack. New or reconditioned parts and products may be used in the performance of warranty service. Repaired or replaced parts and products are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. You will be charged for repair or replacement of the product made after the expiration of the warranty period.

This warranty does not cover: (a) damage or failure caused by or attributable to acts of God, abuse, accident, misuse, improper or abnormal usage, failure to follow instructions, improper installation or maintenance, alteration, lightning or other incidence of excess voltage or current; (b) any repairs other than those provided by a RadioShack Authorized Service Facility; (c) consumables such as fuses or batteries; (d) cosmetic damage; (e) transportation, shipping or insurance costs; or (f) costs of product removal, installation, set-upservice adjustment or reinstallation.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
