Subject: Correction of the Firmware via DFW (D&M Firmware Writer)
Countermeasure is applicable only upon claim from the customer.
Symptom: 1) Picture will be interrupted or noise may occur under the influence of jitter of the input signal when inputting a signal of picture of 1080p 12bit to
HDMI input (DVR/GAME/V.AUX).
2)A pop noise may occurs from the "Preout" when turning off the power.
3)"Dolby TrueHD" is not indicated on the OSD when turning on the power during input a Dolby TrueHD signal.
4)The function of AVR does not change by RC unit which is attached to a TV when setting the "audio output setting" to "TV" using the "HDMI control function" of TV after connecting an AVR-2311(891) to a TV which supports a UI command "Select A/V Input Function".
5)There is the case that EDID of the amplifier becomes wrong when turning on the unit from "standby-mode", then the unit outputs a Video/Audio signal which the TV does not support and the TV indicates a green picture.
6)There is the case that a still picture might keep being displayed when connecting the unit with a Panasonic 3D TV.
Solution: We corrected the firmware so that no malfunction occurs.
METHOD OF UPDATING the firmware via RS232C.
We will supply the following program files for updating the subject models. Please refer to the following Instruction Manual for updating.
Time necessary for update: approximately 20 min.

Confirming the firmware’s number after upgraded:
After completion of the updating operation, the new version number can be confirmed by starting up the A/V Receiver according to the following procedure.
With the following operation, the A/V Receiver can be set to the Flash-ROM Version-Number Confirmation Mode.
Turn the power of the A/V Receiver on, while holding both "STATUS" button and "DIMMER" button on the front panel simultaneously.
Every time the "STATUS" Button is pressed, version numbers of the MAIN, SUB, etc. are indicated on the front panel section in the following order.
