GX-15/15R Guitar Amplifier
Congratulations!
You are now the proud owner of the compact but powerful Crate GX-15/15R amplifier. Two versatile channels – one crystal clear and the other with our patented “Flex-Wave” distortion – combined with reverb (GX-15R) and a three-band EQ offer you more flexibility and performance than any amp in its class. A special damping circuit simulates the “current source” type of output of a tube amp, giving you solid state reliability combined with classic tube sounds.
Like all Crate products, your GX-15/15R is designed by musicians, and built using only the best components. Extensive testing insures you that this amplifier is the absolute best it can be.

1: INPUT: Use this 1/4” jack to connect your guitar to the amplifier by means of a shielded instrument cable.
OVERDRIVE CHANNEL: A high gain channel giving you sounds from a slight edge to serious overdrive.
2:GAIN: Use this control to adjust the amount of distortion for the Overdrive channel.
3:LEVEL: Use this control to adjust the output level of the Overdrive channel.
4. OVERDRIVE SELECT: This switch, when depressed, selects the Overdrive channel. The Clean channel is selected when this switch is in the out position.
CLEAN CHANNEL: A normal gain channel giving you sounds from crystal clean to medium overdrive.
5:LEVEL: Use this control to adjust the output level of the Clean channel.
6:LOW: Use this control to adjust the bass response of the amplifier. Rotating the control counterclockwise reduces the low frequency output. Rotating the control clockwise increases the low frequency output. It may be necessary to reduce the Low frequency output at higher volume levels.
7:MID: Use this control to adjust the midrange frequency output of the amplifier. Rotating the control counterclockwise reduces the midrange frequency output.
Rotating the control clockwise increases the midrange frequency output.
8:HIGH: Use this control to adjust the high frequency response of the amplifier. Rotating the control counterclockwise
reduces the high frequency output.
Rotating the control clockwise increases the high frequency output.
9:REVERB LEVEL (GX-15R only): Use this control to adjust the amount of reverb applied to the output signal.
10:HEADPHONES: Use this jack to connect headphones to the amplifier. The internal speaker is disconnected when this jack is used. A line level signal can also be obtained from this jack for recording, etc.
CAUTION: To avoid possible damage to your hearing, so not use headphones for extended periods of time at extremely loud levels.
11: EXTERNAL SPEAKER: Use this jack to connect the amplifier to an external speaker. The internal speaker is disconnected when this jack is used. The impedance of the external speaker must be 4 ohms or greater.
WARNING: Do not attempt to use headphones in the Speaker jack! Permanent hearing damage could result!
12:ON LED: This LED illuminates when the amplifier is turned on.
13:POWER: Use this switch to turn the amplifier on (top of the switch depressed) and off (bottom of the switch depressed).
14:POWER CORD (rear panel, not shown): The grounded power cord should only be plugged into a grounded power outlet that meets all applicable electrical codes and is compatible with the voltage, power, and frequency requirements stated on the rear panel. Do not attempt to defeat the safety ground connection.
