show All wellknownaddress

Maps well-knownaddress to the registered address of the server. This only can be done one address at a time, although you can add multiplewell-knownaddresses. This mapping translates incoming call setups using thewell-knownaddress to the registered address of the server. Using awell-knownaddress for the server provides location independence for accessing services (such as LECS). You are automatically assigned an address ID number when entering this command. This ID is useful when deletingwell-knownaddresses, because you have to type only the ID number and not the whole ATM address.

Specifically for the LECS, you can map the well-knownLECS address to the registered LECS address manually. Once the mapping is set, if the client fails to get the address through ILMI (integrated local management interface), it tries thewell-knownaddress. You can configure the server (LECS) anywhere in the network. Some applications expect to address packets to thewell-knownaddress. Clients use the samewell-knownaddress, so the location of the server does not matter. The AFI byte is set to 47 to indicate this is awell-knownaddress.

Deletes the mapping between one well-knownaddress and its registered address of an entity (such as LECS). Enter

before entering this command to display the ID number to use as input.

Displays the mapping between the well-knownaddress and the registered address of an entity (such as LECS). It also shows whether the address is dynamic or static. It lists allwell-knownaddresses currently active. It is used for autodiscovery of the LECS by LANE clients.

flush

[RouteType] <routetype>

wellknownaddress

Administrator

Flushes all well-knownaddresses on the switch. Enterflush wellknownaddress with caution because it deletes all addresses of the indicated route type within the one command. This is the fast method of deleting a set ofwell-knownaddresses.
