Please note the following important rules and conventions:

The top line names the current menu, in all capital letters.

Subsequent lines typically display two fields:

~For a listed function, theleft-handfield names the function and the righthand field is the function’s current parameter or value.

Note

A function listed in brackets (e.g., [N81]) is factory preset and

cannot be adjusted.

~For a listed sub-menu,theleft-handfield names thesub-menuthat you can access, and theright-handfield displays the double arrow (>>), indicating that asub-menuis available.

The “navigation” cursor (>) in theleft-handcolumn indicates the current line on which action can be taken. This arrow “scrolls” as you rotate the knob.

Scrolling:

~Turn the ADJUST knobcounter-clockwise(CCW) to scroll down.

~Turn the ADJUST knob clockwise (CW) to scroll up.

To enter a sub-menu,scroll to the desired line and pressSEL.

Note

Throughout this chapter, the term “select” is used as an

abbreviation for “scroll to a selected menu line and press the

SEL button.”

S Select theRaster Box field to ...

To change a parameter, scroll to the desired line and press SEL. The cursor changes to the “edit” cursor (#). Use theADJUST knob to modify the parameter.

To accept a parameter or value, press SEL. The edit cursor changes back to the navigation cursor.

In the “edit” mode, to exit (or cancel) without changing the original parameter, press ESC.

To navigate back up the menu structure, press ESC. Each press takes you back up the menu tree by one level.

Menu System Overview

The SEL button is also used to answer “Yes” to certain menu queries. TheESC button is also used to answer “No” to certain menu queries.

Note

The display itself is four lines high, and the ADJUST knob is

used to scroll through the various menu lines. Throughout

this chapter, entire menus will be shown for clarity — rather

than a series of four-linesections.
