returning a defective drive

 

 

to Apple.

 

 

Note: On early production

 

Mounting Brackets

units, Phillips screws

 

 

secure the mounting

 

 

brackets to the hard drive.

 

 

4 Using a T-8torx driver,

remove the four screws

and the two mounting

brackets from the hard

 

 

drive.

 

 

5 Disconnect the hard

2Carefully disconnect the backup battery cable from the logic board.

assembly to the chassis.

Using an IC extractor,

 

disconnect the trackball

 

cable.

Lift out the trackball

 

assembly.
